PHITOTHERAPY:The use of herbs to treat different discomforts. It is well known that some of them are the base of several current medical treatments. Their uses are limited, and their ability to heal is indisputable.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy works by reprogramming mental conduct patterns so irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and repressed emotions can surface. Hypnosis makes the left side of the brain, the analytical side, stop working; and the right side, the non analytical side, more alert. During hypnosis, a state similar to a trance, the body is released from conscious control, breathing is slower and deeper, pulse and metabolic rhythm drop, and every sensation of pain or discomfort disappears.

Essential Oils Therapy

Essential oils can calm, energize, balance, purify, and rejuvenate the mind and body. The essential oils are of therapeutic-grade and can be utilized in different ways to fully appreciate there full potential. The application of these oils can be as simple as applying directly to your skin, inhalation via a diffuser, ingestion through drinking or eating and finally the way it was originally used prior to all application - our sense of smell via aroma therapy. Common examples include applying a blend that contains black pepper (Piper nigrum) or ginger (Zinziber officinalis) essential oil to reduce arthritis pain and improve flexibility, or applying German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) essential oil to treat eczema. How does this work? Our skin is somewhat permeable. The active chemicals in essential oils are absorbed just like the ingredients in common pharmaceuticals such as hormone replacement therapy cream and nicotine patches.

Physiotherapy

Etymologically speaking the word Physiotherapy comes from the merge of two Greek words physis, which means nature and therapeia that means treatment. Thus the meaning of physiotherapy can be interpreted as “Treatment through Nature” or “Treatment through Physical Agents”. In 1958 the World Health Organization (WHO) defines Physiotherapy as the technique and science of treatment through physical means, therapeutic exercise, massotherapy and electrotherapy. Moreover, physiotherapy incorporates: Electric and manual test in order to determine the injury level and the muscular strength; tests to evaluate functional abilities, joint range motion, vital capacity measures, as well as scanning test that might be needed to help lessen lesion’s progress. It could be said that Hippocrates, the father of the Western medicine, was one of the main promoters of Physical Therapy. He separated the physiotherapy from religious practices and gave it a more experimental approach. His therapeutic philosophy was to “give nature a help” that is, boost the auto-healing forces of the body through natural means (Vis Naturalis Medicatrix).
